That was the worse night we have had in the van since we been living it. Just as we were going to bed at midnight the wind got up the van started moving around Alonso I gingerly got into bed fingers crossed.
Been in bed a hour hadn't gone to sleep because we.we're listening to the wind heard a almighty bang in the awning got up and.dressed quickly to find one side had collapsed!! Adrian battled with the winds to erect it again why I went round and.collapsed the chairs to lay more weight on.skirt we realized the tie down had snapped so this is why the side gave way after putting it back we knew we had no option but to watch.it being buffeted around as there is no way you could take it down in the wind. After a while we decided to go back to bed as there was nothing more we could do also paddy was not liking the wind we got back into bed I got in fully dressed in case we had to get up hastily. The hours went by slowly till morning we kept getting up and checking it was ok, by morning the awning had survived but the wind was still strong as the days gone on it has dropped down a lot so hopefully tonight we get some sleep
Before we went to bed last a couple pulled in went to go on grass to pitch on grandstanding and the car sunk luckily they had a motor mover they look pretty nifty things to have maybe one day we could have one.
Oh well hopefully that's the end of the storms this year after the worse winter in 250 years for rain and gales so much flooding everywhere.
