OFF TO CASTLE HEDINGHAM
@ 2013-08-15 – 15:33:54
We arrived at the site after not going for nearly two years to be greeted by Bernard the site hasn't changed a bit were surprised to find we the only ones on site.
Set up facing the field looking out over a lovely countryside which we found out later on to be Broad beans after thinking they were peas.
Hannah and tom came sunday to visit after coming back from Scotland bought fish and chips from nearby Great Yeldham they were disgusting worse ive ever had.
Monday we had a lovely thunderstorm in the evening after chasing Paddy down the track he snapped the rope and ran after a cat I followed him to the end of the track into other village then lost site! had give up all hope by then because of the amount of fields etc Adrian appeared with the lead and we started heading back talking about dog wardens huge vet bills etc to hear a heavy panting behind to see him running up behind us the relief but after we got back along came the storm and Paddy hates getting wet so decided that's why he changed his mind.
Had a long talk to Mrs Kettle about where the years had gone been going there 13 years now.
Daniel Samantha the boys Hannah and Theo came Wednesday Hannah did want Tom to drop her off at 8.00 in the morning but it worked out Daniel brought her, the boys went fishing Liam caught a tench ended up with over fifty by the evening and then had fish and chips for supper which was a great improvement on other,
Had some lovely evening walks saw Deer etc makes us realize its something we would never of done at the house, watched the planes coming into to land at Stanstead.
People in a motorhome went out and a couple from Colchester came in with their two lovely dogs seen them before, on the Friday a young couple and kid came in with their staffie kept letting it roam it met Paddy a few times
On Thursday the weather was nasty heavy rain etc so had a look at M and M leisure was so small and compact didn't go much on it, ran out of gas and managed to change our two for lightweight one at a local garden centre so that was a bit of luck.
Hannah came again on Satarday why tom was at cricket and spent the day left at ten o clock so we went for a late evening walk then, saw the deer in the field hiding. Adrian spent last couple of evening fishing caught loads of tench
Sunday it was time to finish our holiday and sadly packed away Mrs Kettle come and said goodbye and said she ooked forward to seeing us in October when we had booked in again.
Left Sunday to the car playing up didn't think we were going to make it off A12 but luckily Bertie got us to Arlsford pulled on the rally field like we had asked to because of the bumps got some strange looks from people on the site! Two weeks here to begin
