Nearly Four years

Been a long time since I blogged still in situation on a cl on Isle of Wight.

Been through some things like covid then the worst storm for 40 years! We strapped the van down and hoped for the best needless to say luckily we are unscathed.

Lots of people are going into the permanent caravan life now so you no more are one of a kind we were put into our situation involuntarily but people are actually choosing to sell up and do it!

We sometimes long for a permanent address to call home but when we look at the views and no worries about energy bills etc we think ok it’s not to bad.

Kampa awning we bought has been a disaster it now leaks has gone mouldy etc would not buy another one

Oh well till my next blog

February 2021 lockdown on island

Been a long time since I blogged. We took our caravan over to.isle of wight three years ago this march with the hope of securing a proper home having a little dog has proved this to be difficult.
So since being here we have stayed on commercial sites and small sites had some string winds to contend with and some hot weather aswell.
During the lockdown we have lucky to become.e friends with a cl owner and we have been.on same site a year now, got a bit worried as so.eine pulled in site yesterday and took.a picture of us on site! Now we will have to wait and see.
Have had a old bailey since being here not got a 5 berth avondale dart.
Just purchased a air awning with annexe cant wait for better weather to.put it up.

Hopefully they go soon.

March 27th 2018

Well we left the gipsies behind at one in morning even gave us a wave goodbye and off we went for a new start on the island after a fe diversions we arrived at seven in morning to find there was a static on our pitch! Tired and grouchy we had to wait over a hour till they opened.

Reception apologized and said they would get it moved ASAP and told us to pitch on 12 we asked if we could stay there but got told no as was reserved. So we took awning out and tried to get some sleep. By the evening the caravan was still on that pitch but was told by three it would be moved off eventually they moved it and we could get sorted after eventually leveling the caravan.

Let our new life begin.

Life’s changing feb 22nd

Well we left weeley for a few dats on the island when we went a couple of gypsy vans had pulled in but Mr Norris assured us he had checked them out.

Had some snow but by time we went to island it has thawed. Had my interview and got the job so now we got to find a site to pitch Betty, booked a seasonal pitch on thorness bay till October picked our spot now time to go home and tell family.
